Ubuntu Task Contributor
Remote, entry-level computer task work for people who can use Ubuntu independently. Follow written prompts to install applications, navigate the Ubuntu desktop, manage files, adjust basic settings, and verify that each task is complete. Professional IT experience is not required; college students and regular Ubuntu users are welcome. Pay is up to $7/hour depending on the task and demonstrated quality.

- Follow written computer-use prompts and complete straightforward, multi-step tasks on Ubuntu.
- Install, open, and configure common applications using Ubuntu App Center, downloaded packages, or simple Terminal commands.
- Navigate Files, Settings, and Terminal to manage files and complete basic application or system workflows.
- Verify the requested final state, capture clear evidence of completion, and report any errors accurately.
What we look for
- Comfortable navigating Ubuntu Desktop independently and installing common applications.
- Able to follow detailed written English instructions and find solutions to simple issues when needed.
- Access to a reliable Ubuntu computer or virtual machine and a stable internet connection.
- No professional IT experience is required; college students, recent graduates, and regular Ubuntu users are encouraged to apply.
